Perfect Portraits of Your Valentine

Your focus of attention in your photo should be the subject's face and expression. Suggest dark clothing- aviod checks, stripes & any patterns.  The subjects face should stand out, not the clothing! Come in close & fill the frame with your subject. You're usually better off with a "head & shoulders" shot in which hands don't show. If the hands do show, give them something to hold, like a small bouquet. And lastly if you're using a flash, keep your subject a few feet away from the background to minimize dark wall shadows.
